This position will be primarily focused on building out our research platforms across all asset classes and data analytics capability.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Product Owner to join a strong, collaborative team in a role focusing on product leadership and advancement opportunities. The Product owner is a demanding position - in this role, you need to understand the vision of the product from the point of view of the Platform Product Manager, the customer, end-users and Program stakeholders. The main responsibility of the Product Owner is to serve the end-user, customer and stakeholders of the product. Product Owners complete analysis based on discussions with the business directly and translating that analysis into scope and stories for their scrum team to deliver. Moreover, product owners are the bridge between the customer and the scrum team. As such, this position requires a high level of direct interaction with business users and excellent communication and delivery skills. This individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments with people at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Owns features and is responsible for defining and prioritizing a set of stories to achieve epic outcome.
  • Embraces change, understands how to be agile and responds with a sense of urgency •
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters and team(s), Conveys the overall product vision to the scrum teams
  • Create presentations, product documentation, and other materials, as part of acting as an information and product expert
  • Understands product requirements and makes scope decisions to maximize the end user experience without impacting overall Program timelines
  • Negotiate requirements with the larger body of stakeholders
  • Negotiates scope disputes to bring consensus among stakeholders
  • Defines clear acceptance criteria for each program feature
  • Understands complex technical concepts and presents them in simple terms to non-technical team members
  • Understands end-to-end processes. Manages requirements dependencies.
  • Participates in all program ceremonies, Represents product requirements for each Program Increment Planning session.
  • Closely manages backlog of stories and product features, Ensures all stories satisfy the definition of done.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance or related subject
  • 5+ years business analysis or systems analysis experience in financial statement analysis, investment management or financial services environment
  • Previous working experience as a Product Owner or Agile Business Analyst
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
  • Strong client relationship skills and proven ability to build consensus. Experience working directly with business partners to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs.
  • Experience authoring user stories, grooming product backlogs, and prioritizing conflicting requirements
  • Experience writing functional specifications, use cases, and test plans
  • Change agent, creative, innovative and focused on continuous improvements
  • Analytical and problem solving skills in buy-side investment management systems and data technologies.
  • Understanding of financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, swaps, options, futures, forwards, derivatives and FX.
  • Experience with advanced investment data concepts such as holdings, transactions, security master, analytics, and performance.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of investors workflows in areas of research/valuation, analysis and portfolio construction
  • High attention to detail and strong commitment to delivering quality, professional work is absolutely essential for this position.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SQL and relational database technology
  • Willingness and ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced, business-critical environment.
  • CFA Institute Claritas Certificate, CFA Charter or progress towards one considered an asset
