This position is for a Credit Risk Analyst within Credit & Global Markets Risk (CGM) - Portfolio Management team. CGM is part of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Division at State Street Corporation. The CGM Portfolio Management Team is responsible for oversight and management of policies/guidelines, regulatory requirements, exposure stress testing, supervisory stress testing, and committee management activities in support of CGM functions globally.

Qualifications: Competent to Proficient/ Preferred 3-5 years of counterparty credit risk management in a global financial institution, or related experience, with a broad knowledge of credit and capital market products, regulatory requirements, including policies, procedures, and stress testing; MBA and/or CFA strongly preferred (or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in running the annual CCAR / DFAST credit loss analysis and CGM CCAR Working Group as well as all related documentation for submission to the Federal Reserve
  • Assist with updating various documents such as reference manuals, guides, policies and procedures as directed
  • Ensure applicable SharePoint tabs are updated on CGM Collaborate site
  • Actively monitor developments which affect Credit and Market Risk, using a variety of tools (e.g., status reports) escalating key issues to manager as required
  • Maintain the highest standards of conduct and integrity and ensure compliance with company policies, statute and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in relevant working groups as applicable, including any project work as required
  • Provide material as requested for senior level management
  • Assist with providing updates to regulators during formal reviews as well as during periodic updates, as requested
  • Identify and report all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities
  • Perform other duties as required

Skills:
  • Solid understanding of capital markets and respective regulatory landscape
  • Preferred: working knowledge of the Banks primary business units and related products and services
  • Financial modeling a plus
  • Strong critical thinking ability and analytical skills
  • Sound verbal, written, presentation skills
  • Ability to identify problems and limitations, propose solutions and proactively address these directly
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently; strong time-management capacity and attention to detail
  • Ability to foster a culture of cooperation and collaboration with other risk functions and internal control functions
  • Cultivate effective relationships with our internal and external global partners
  • Comfortable in conflict resolution as appropriate with others/in a matrix organization
  • Maintain the highest standards of conduct and integrity and ensure compliance with accepted industry practice, company policies, statute and regulatory requirements.
