Job Description:

State Street Global Markets Portfolio Solutions group provides trading and exposure management solutions to institutional investors globally. Strategies cover a range of asset classes including equities, fixed income, FX, and exchange traded derivatives. The Portfolio Solutions Strategy Team operates across products and is dually responsible for client-facing strategy consulting and internal product development.

The strategist will be responsible for:
  • Client Consulting; Understanding client investment challenges, performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, and presenting findings internally and to existing and prospective clients
  • Representing trading products as a subject matter expert
  • Supporting sales and business development initiatives across products
  • Assessing internal business operations (trading strategies, trading performance, technology, data management, marketing strategy, research) and developing solutions to enhance product positioning

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in engineering, mathematics, economics or finance
  • MBA, graduate degree in a quantitative discipline, or CFA designation preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in an a consulting or analytical discipline
  • Experience with investment management and trading functions
  • Modeling experience using in Excel and programming languages
  • Experience with SQL and database infrastructures a plus
  • Experience in using Bloomberg and other market-data sources for analytical purposes
  • Capability to work independently and under tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly motivated with an exceptional drive for success
  • Willingness to travel
