Investment Research Analyst - Associate

Crestwood Advisors LLC is a fast‐growing wealth management firm that is selectively seeking a Research Analyst to join our energetic team. Crestwood Advisors is a fee‐only registered investment advisor that manages $2.9b in assets and provides clients with comprehensive wealth and investment management solutions.  Crestwood builds globally diversified portfolios with individual stocks, mutual funds and ETFs with a focus on meeting clients’ long-term goals.

Job Summary:  The Research Analyst will be responsible for researching mutual funds and ETFs, updating marketing materials, helping to determine investment allocations, and assist research efforts for individual stocks.  This person will work with all areas of Crestwood’s Research team to help improve investment results and firm-wide communications.
•    Asset Allocation: Work as a member of the investment team on global asset allocation, analyzing market behavior and predictive factors to help improve portfolio performance. 
•    Marketing: Coordinate and disseminate information to the organization, regarding investments, performance and client matters.
•    Research: Conduct in-depth asset class research to improve Crestwood’s tactical positions.  Work on security selection process: build mutual fund screens, interview investment managers and identify attractive funds. 
•    Equity Research: Assist Equity Analysts in equity research and assist in inquiries from Portfolio Managers.
•    Projects: Research and respond to investment related inquiries from Portfolio Managers.
•    Performance attribution: Identify and communicate the value added from various investment decisions for client and model portfolios.

•    Bachelor degree and 3+ years relevant work experience required.  Progress towards MBA/CFA preferred.
•    Must demonstrate ability to contribute to the investment process.
•    Must exhibit strong fundamental analytical skills including ability to work with quantitative factors.
•    Must have working knowledge of investment technology and applications – Bloomberg, Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis experience are a plus.
•    Experience in selection of mutual funds and working knowledge of asset allocation a plus.
•    Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment.
•    Must exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
