We are seeking to recruit an Equity Research Analyst as part of the Global Impact Team. The team's approach seeks to produce an attractive financial return by investing in innovative companies that aim to solve some of the world's most intractable problems, such as hunger, climate change and lack of education. The Analyst will conduct fundamental security analysis and assist in thematic research.


Responsibilities for this position will include the following:
  • Analyze public equity securities for inclusion in global all-cap, impact-investment portfolios;
  • Analyze financial statements; create and maintain detailed financial models on individual companies;
  • Conduct proprietary research including interviewing company management, customers, and suppliers;
  • Monitor individual portfolio investments;
  • Research impact themes and evaluate companies for their impact;
  • Complete multiple complex analytical projects under tight time constraints; and
  • Prepare written reports and oral presentations ¬†for internal and external audiences.


The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of equity investing experience with a strong preference for impact investing experience, preferably on the buy-side. Familiarity with emerging and frontier markets is preferred;
  • Demonstrated commitment to, relevant experience in, and passion for impact investing;
  • Ability and track record of generating money making investment ideas;
  • Self-awareness and self-confidence to be comfortable "being wrong;"
  • Independence of thought and curiosity about the world;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, team-based, results-oriented environment;
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail;
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills; strong financial modeling skills required;
  • Ability to think flexibly; comfort defending non-consensus views and challenging others' views;
  • Demonstrated ability to engage independently with major-company CEOs;
  • Efficient time management and excellent organizational skills; and
  • Strong academic credentials, MBA or CFA preferred.
