POSITION

Relationship Analyst (RA) within the Global Strategic Relationship Team will work closely with Global Relationship Managers, Business Developers and other internal resources to support efforts with global strategic clients.  A successful RA will partner with managers across the firm and will have the skills necessary to assist with all aspects of a relationship while focusing on enhanced reporting as well as strategic and investment elements of those relationships. A successful RA will understand the client's long term investment objectives, distribution strategies and policy issues and bring the resources of the organization to bear on behalf of the client with the goal of delivering a high level of service that will exceed the client's expectations and position Wellington Management as the partner of choice.

RAs will have interaction with clients and prospects - though they are likely to see their responsibilities focus internally to help facilitate new business, broad client interaction and reporting.  The RA will conduct analysis and respond to inquiries on a wide variety of topics, including market and investment focused inquiries as well as distribution and growth oriented questions.  The RA is expected to develop in-depth knowledge of assigned books of business from an investment and distribution perspective.  The RA will be required to understand the client's expectations, incorporate investment and product knowledge, and work cross functionally across departments often under tight deadlines. 

Importantly, the RA will serve as a thought partner to managers on the team and must be prepared to act as their back-up and proxy, representing the firm in a manner commensurate with those expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Commanding a thorough knowledge of our business, coupled with the interpersonal skills to deal effectively with external relationships, the RA will work closely with all members of the team, as well as many other functional areas of the firm.  They will conduct analysis of client portfolios, respond to inquiries on a wide variety of topics, and perform other tasks as appropriate. 

The RA will work closely with the Strategic Relationship Manager and Associate Director of the Global Relationship Group to:

•             Generate presentation materials, briefing memos and collateral materials for prospect and client meetings

•             Qualify Requests for Proposal and work with Product Management and the Client Reporting team to ensure that each RFP receives the appropriate response

•             Work with the Relationship teams, Legal, Finance, Product Management and Senior Management to qualify and implement new business or client projects

•             Assist with analytics and competitive analysis

•             Generate and analyze extensive quarterly and semi-annual reports

•             Perform business management and strategy work

•             Support marketing efforts including managing internal and external materials, working with third party vendors on research initiatives and requests and coordinating webinars, special events and industry conferences.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate is likely to have:
  • Strong academic credentials, coupled with progress towards (or willingness to pursue) a relevant professional qualification, e.g., CFA or MBA
  • 5+ years of relevant client facing experience 
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of capital markets and/or investment products. 
  • Demonstrated ability for project management and reporting
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong networking and collaboration skill set
